Richard is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography and an associate of the Master Photographers Association.
Prior to turning professional, some twelve years ago, Richard was one of the countries leading amateur photographers. He won the Amateur Photographer's prestigious Triple Crown competition for Monochrome work two years running. (The only person to achieve this.) His work has been widely published in the leading photographic press along with many articles about aspects of his art.
Richard lectures throughout Britain and abroad and is in great demand as a judge at both club and international level. He has had numerous acceptances and awards in photo internationals, gaining medals in many of them.
Richard has exhibited his work at various galleries including the Nikon Gallery, London, the Century Gallery, Henley-on-Thames, Hamiltons Gallery, Kensington and the Wrestpoint Casino, Hobart, Tasmania. His current exhibition of personal work is showing at the Gallerie Chantillie, Devonport, Tasmania, Australia.
After turning professional, Richard has had great success in The Kodak Bride & Portrait Awards and The Fuji Wedding and Portrait Awards. He was runner-up in the portrait section of the Fuji awards in 1998.
Richard has worked at some of the premier locations in the South of England, including The Royal Chapel, Windsor Great Park, Highclere Castle, the Royal Memorial Chapel at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Blenheim Palace, Chelsea Register Office, The Bishop's Palace in Fulham and Mottisfont Abbey, Romsey.
Richard's dynamic and innovative, yet relaxed, approach to portraiture and wedding photography ensures that he is always in great demand.
